All Professional Athlete Race Participants receive:

- Flat, fast, criterium-style course (same as 2020)
- Great weather (average high of 68 and low of 45)
- Pace groups (to be created as necessary from 2:06:00 to 2:35:00)
- Personal fluids
- Indoor warmup area
- Last minute bag drop-off
- Marathon Project swag bag

In addition to all of the above, the top 15 seeds (determined by organizer discretion) will receive complimentary travel plus three nights lodging at the Sheraton Grand.

Any athlete that finishes in the top 15 that did not receive travel or lodging will receive a $1,000 travel/lodging stipend post race (in addition to prize money).

2025 Prize Purse to be announced by no later than July 1, 2025.

Invitational Entry Process:

The Marathon Project Professional Race will consist of 100 men and 100 women as selected by race organizers. Athletes who have run under 2:20:00 (men) or 2:40:00 (women) are encouraged to apply. Athletes who have run above 2:20:00 (men) or 2:40:00 (women) are encouraged to register for the Gold Wave.

December 18, 2024 - Registration Opens. All entrants who have run under 2:12:00 (men) or under 2:28:00 (women) since December 20, 2020 will receive a complimentary entry (if accepted). Additional comp entries up to race organizer discretion. All other entrants must pay the professional race entry fee ($200) but will not be charged until the initial accepted entries list is released on April 1, 2025.

December 18, 2024 - March 30, 2025 - Initial registration remains open. Interested participants may apply at any time and update their credentials as necessary based on new results. It is highly recommended that athletes register during this period as there is no guarantee spots will be available after March 30.

April 1, 2025 - Initial accepted entries list will be released. All accepted entries will be notified via email before the list is made public. Note that the initial list may not include all 200 total entries as race organizers reserve the right to accept participants at their discretion and may add entrants as necessary at any time based on credentials.

April 2 - August 30th, 2025 - Should spots remain open, there will be a second wave of registration available during this time. Again, it is recommended that interested participants register during the first wave to increase their chances of acceptance.

September 1, 2025 - Final accepted entry lists will be released. The only entry exceptions beyond this date will be reserved for special circumstances. Athletes who applied but were not accepted may be offered a spot in the Gold Wave by race organizers.
