Sheraton Grand Named Official Host Hotel of The Marathon Project

CHANDLER, Ariz., January 8, 2025 – The Marathon Project announced today that The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass will serve as the event’s official host hotel in 2025. The resort-style hotel is located less than a half-mile from The Marathon Project’s start and finish and features four heated swimming pools, a full-service spa, five-star dining and more.
In addition to all of the hotel’s amenities, The Marathon Project will offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the start and finish for all race participants on both Saturday and Sunday.
Katie Sutton, Vice President of Athlete Experience for The Marathon Project, said that the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is the perfect place for athletes, families and fans to relax on race weekend.
“We love that our athletes can stay so close to the the start and finish,” Sutton said. “We believe this will be yet another piece of the puzzle in terms of helping everyone run as fast as possible.”
All Marathon Project athletes, fans and guests can purchase their race weekend stay at The Sheraton Grand for just $179 per night, plus a daily $20 resort fee.
The Marathon Project’s CEO, Ben Rosario, said that securing this partnership was another step in creating a premier experience for all TMP participants.
”Our north star is to make sure that every single athlete that competes in our races gets treated like a professional,” Rosario said. “Making the host hotel, where the top pro athletes will be staying, so accessible to all participants was a priority for us and I am thrilled that we were able to make it a reality.”

About The Marathon Project
The Marathon Project 2025 will include an entire weekend of events including The Gold Wave Marathon on Saturday, December 20—a premier amateur marathon open to the top 500 men and top 500 women who enter. All Gold Wave participants will be treated like pros with amenities that include pace groups, an indoor warmup area and bathrooms, bag drop-off at the start and giant fluid stations on each 4.26-mile loop.
Preceding the Gold Wave will be the TMP 5K—open to runners of all ages and abilities. And following both races will be a post-race party that will include music, beer, food and the TMP Awards Ceremony.
The culminating event of the weekend will be the Professional Race on Sunday, December 21. With 100 men and 100 women, race organizers hope to produce the deepest, fastest marathon in the United States.
